Six men have been charged with supplying cocaine and cannabis after police raids in Stevenage, Bishop's Stortford and Stotfold on 24 September, the force says.

Six men have been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis, after a police operation against a drug line serving Stevenage. Hertfordshire Constabulary says the “Adam” line is suspected of supplying Class A and Class B drugs to the town between January and September 2026.

Officers from the force’s Serious and Organised Crime Investigations Unit carried out warrants on Thursday 24 September. The addresses were in Stevenage, Bishop’s Stortford, about 15 miles to the east, and Stotfold in Bedfordshire, about eight miles to the north. Six men were arrested. The force says drugs, cash and “numerous mobile phones suspected of being used for criminal activity” were seized.

The details come from the force’s statement of 25 September. The Stevenage Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Operational Support Group supported the operation.

Who has been charged

The force named the six men charged as:

  • Ethan Atkinson, aged 18, of Exchange Road, Stevenage
  • Steven Flecknell, aged 50, of no fixed address
  • Robbie Draper, aged 25, of Mossbury Way, Stevenage
  • Benjamin Brooks, aged 44, of Willow Herb Way, Stotfold
  • Aaron White, aged 23, of Claymores, Stevenage
  • Ryan Lee, aged 25, of no fixed address

A charge is an allegation, not a finding of guilt. None of the six has been convicted of these offences. The force has not published court dates.

Detective Sergeant Chris Cowell, of the investigations unit, said the operation was “the culmination of months of work” on the line. “Drug dealing and associated criminal activity causes harm and suffering to our local communities,” he said. “We rely on intelligence from the public to help us bring drugs suppliers to justice, so if you have any information, please report it.”

Drugs in the local figures

The charges came three days after Stevenage’s three neighbourhood police teams named drugs as a priority in every part of the town. Central Stevenage’s team is focusing on Bedwell and Pin Green. The north team named Wisden Road, Vardon Road, Fairview Road, Meadway and North Road. We set out the full list in our story on the new priorities.

Police recorded 388 drug offences across the three Stevenage neighbourhoods in the twelve months to July 2026, according to police.uk. North Stevenage had the most, with 148. Central had 125 and South 115. The monthly total peaked at 52 in March 2026.

These figures count offences police recorded, and many drug offences are found through stop and search, warrants and patrols. A higher month usually means more police activity, not necessarily more drugs. The figures do not show which offences, if any, relate to this operation.
