Free Halloween at the Indoor Market on 31 October, then Fairlands Valley fireworks on 5 November at 7.30pm, plus Knebworth's half term week and theatre dates.
Stevenage has two big free dates coming: the council’s free Halloween event at the Indoor Market on Saturday 31 October, then the Fairlands Valley Park fireworks on Thursday 5 November, display at 7.30pm. Before them the diary fills up at the museum on St George’s Way and at the Gordon Craig Theatre, with Knebworth opening its gardens again for half term.
Updated 4 October: events from 1 to 3 October have been removed, the museum’s series rolled on to their next dates, and Gordon Craig and Concert Hall shows from 12 to 15 November added.
Everything below comes from the organisers’ own listings. The council’s events pages, the museum’s pages and the Gordon Craig’s show pages were read on 28 September 2026, and every entry links back to its source so you can check before you set off. For places that are open whatever the month, see our guide to things to do in Stevenage.
